Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has claimed that a lady’s nightie soaked with blood was found at the scene where the late J.B. Danquah Adu was murdered. Speaking to UTV, Mr. Agyapong said he was invited to the crime scene by the police and he saw a lady’s nightie stained with blood. He suggested that if the owner of the stained nightie can be found, then it would be easier to uncover who was behind the late MP’s murder.

He said he will continue to ask questions, adding that no one can threaten him with lawsuits. “When J.B died, I was called by the police, the sister of JB’s wife called Sheba told me her sister was not even aware the husband was dead,” Mr. Agyapong said. “If she was not aware who is the owner of the nightie soaked with blood in the front, who does it belong to?” “Anybody who has been killed in this country is not a dog, we must get to the bottom of the matter,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Agyapong is currently facing a lawsuit from the wife of the late J.B Danquah-Adu, Ivy Heward-Mills. This comes after the Assin Central MP accused the widow of having an affair with investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. According to a report by Starr News, Madam Ivy has sued the outspoken lawmaker and eight others for defamation, demanding a sum of GHc50 million.

But responding to this, Mr. Agyapong said he is ready to face her in court, insisting he is not scared of the suit. “I can prove to you that Ivy knew Anas since 2015, If Anas thinks he is a good investigator then it’s a lie…I can do proper investigations more than him. Ivy just wants trouble for herself but I’ll show her in court that I’m not afraid of anyone. I’ll die for the truth,” he said.
The late J.B Danquah Adu served as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa-North, before he was gruesomely murdered at his home three years ago.
