Residents of Windy ridge a suburb of Takoradi fear for their lives as a nightclub which only operates at night houses several Nigerians suspected to be thieves and kidnappers.
These Nigerians smoke wee, play music and disturb the entire neighborhood. The nightclub operating just behind the Nigerian flat as popularly known does not close till the last customer leaves.
In spite of the fact that this a residential area and houses heads of various departments in the region, the noise goes no.
Residents in the area are terrified as this club and its customer based wee smokers only operate at night depriving them of good sleep.
Intelligence gathered revealed that residents in the area suspect the nightclub act as a potential hideout to kidnappers and fear for their kids, family and relations.
A resident who wanted to remain unknown revealed to this reporter that there has been increase thievery in the area of late; car break in, stealing of car battery and tape, force opening of peoples door especially during the day when most residents are at work.
We are by this calling on the authorities that security be intensified in the area and the night club made to relocate from the residential area as soon as possible to avert future eventuality.
