On Wednesday 25th September 2019, The Municipal Chief Executive for Suhum Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa, Hon Frederick Opare-Ansah-MP, Hon Ransford Agyapong- Former MP, and Constituency Executives led by Chairman Frederick Ofosu inspected ongoing projects at Suhum Islamic Girls Senior High School and Suhum Senior High School.
It didn’t just happen but it was a program organized by Suhum NPP Constituency executives to connect with heads of institutions and also inspect ongoing projects within their jurisdiction from the central government, the municipal and member of parliament.
This program was to monitor and evaluate the progress of work and quality of delivery.
Both the MCE and the MP had interactions with contractors and foremen where they urged them to discharge their duties professionally to serve the future generations of the country.
The heads and staffs of both schools were glad for such a warm visit into their tentacles and called for more of such visits. They made some requisitions like cements, barricades, trips of sand and stone etc from the leaders.
The MCE and MP promised to fulfilled their requests in the coming weeks God willing to support and expand their infrastructure in achieving the president’s
dream of educating each individual and eradicating poverty under the government flagship program of the free SHS.
The access to Free SHS which is not an end in itself but a means to an end which will open opportunities for beneficiaries to make informed choices amongst the available life alternatives to earn decent standard of living and have positive impact on society to influence others. This acculturation will have forward and backward societal linkages which will impact on all aspects of development in the country and thus raising the image of Ghana on the international globe.
