Suhum MCE and MP Support Suhum Second Cycle Schools

The President representative in Suhum municipality Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa, the Member of parliament for Suhum Hon Frederick Opare-Ansah supports Suhum PRESEC and SUTESCO with 100 bags of cement each to augment ongoing projects.

On Tuesday, October 1 2019 the MCE and MP for Suhum fulfilled their promises made to two of the second cycle school in the municipality. Early this year the dude were invited to Suhum PRESEC during their SRC week celebrations and in their addresses, they promised 100 bags of cement which they have redeemed. The school didn’t receive only cements but also 10 streetlights, two sets of jersey and two footballs. They visit SUTESCO on the other hand was to inspect ongoing government projects where it became necessary to also support them with 100 bags of cement.

The MP used the opportunity to enlighten the staffs and students gathered on key policies such as Free SHS,NABCO, Planting for food and jobs, rearing for food and export, strengthening of NHIS, investing huge amounts of money in the banking sector to safeguard depositors money for which the NPP government led by Nana Akuffo Addo had committed to in the few years as president. He also took his time to educate them on the recent news about the Comprehensive Sexuality Education to be taught in school. Another thing he stressed on is the fact that government is yet to passed a bill which primary and JHS teachers will be own, manage and be paid by the District, Municipal and metropolitan assemblies and for that matter MMDCE’s could sack and employ. And that once the assemblies run out of money, there would be no salaries. He added that we should disregard such propaganda. He said Nana Akuffo Addo is poised to invest in the future generations of this country.

The podium was given to the Municipal Chief executive for Suhum Hon Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa, she thanked the organizers for giving her such opportunity to address the students and staffs. In her speech, she stressed on the implementation of Free SHS and teacher welfare by NPP government. She said the students can testify that the implementation of Free SHS had really helped them especially their parents because some of them wouldn’t have been in school due to financial constraints but due to Free SHS their education wasn’t curb. She told the beneficiaries of Free SHS to thanked Nana Akuffo Addo and the NPP with their votes come 2020 to maintain them in power.

The heads of the schools thanked the MCE and MP for such an explicit message to them and their philanthropist gesture towards them. They promised them that it would be used properly for future generations to enjoy.

The MCE and MP were accompanied by the Former MP Hon Ransford Agyapong, Constituency executives led by Chairman Frederick Ofosu, Assemblymen, Electoral Area Coordinators, Polling station executives and members of the elephant family.
