Suhum MP donates 10 Panasonic Air Conditions to Suhum Municipal

The representative of Suhum in parliament, Hon Frederick Opare-Ansah who doubles as the Chairman of select committee on communication and a representative of Ghana in ECOWAS parliament on Thursday 23rd January 2020 donated 10 new Panasonic Air Conditions to the Municipal Assembly.

The donation became necessary after the MP discovered that the existing air-conditions in the assembly hall were faulty and mal-function when he paid them a visit. He then promised fixing new ones for them . He presented the items at the inauguration of the Municipal Assembly.

He also incurred the installation costs which work had begun in fixing 6 air-condition in the assembly conference hall where major meetings are held. The remaining 4 air-conditions would be fixed in the offices of officials including the MCE, Director of Education and others.

The MP advised the assembly to inculcate maintenance culture of this items and other items being purchased by the assembly, central government or any philanthropist.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Suhum, Mrs Margaret Darko Darkwa received the items on behalf of the municipality and thanked the Hon MP for such a philanthropist gesture towards the Assembly and promised it would be put in good use to meet its purpose. The MCE used the occasion to praise the MP on his numerous support to the assembly in executing some major developmental projects within the county.

Mrs Darkwa stresses that, her MP Hon Frederick Opare-Ansah is there to lobby developmental projects to the municipality and the assembly sees to the execution of such projects. Retiring her speech, she said the MP is always poised to deliver his mandate for Suhum to enjoy her fair share of the national cake.
