An official 4 bedroom bungalow said to have been used by previous appointed for the then District Chief Executives for Ahanta West has turned into white elephant with security only guarding the apartment 24/7.
It is said that, the current Ahanta West Municipal Chief Executive, Mrs. Henrietta Mary Eyison rejected to use the assembly’s property when she resumed office for the past four decades.
Meanwhile the current Ahanta West Municipal Assembly are being alleged of spending about 4,000.00 to purchase a new and rented apartment for Hon. Henrietta Eyison as MCE.
According to the Concerned Youth of Ahanta West, this is a financial lost to Ahanta Land as an official bungalow is being abandoned the past four years.
It is on record that the same official bungalow being rejected Mrs. Henrietta Eyison was being used by previous District Chief Executives including Hon. Kwesi Biney, Hon. Ekow Jones, Hon. Dofoyena.
The group calling themselves Concerned Youth of Ahanta in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region revealed this to the media on Tuesday 9th September hit the streets in some parts of the Municipality specifically Agona Nkwanta and its adjoining communities with placards to present a petition to president Akufo-Addo’s representative.
Some of the writings placed on placards during the 2nd edition of the peaceful demonstration included, Ahanta Deserves Better, The Youth Must Rise Beyond Politics, Tell us the truth about the youth center, It is Now or Never, Fix our roads, We need our Municipal Hospital, Bring Back our Kundum Festival” among others.
